Reviewed by adminWhen Carsonie's opened their store on Lane Ave., I was all excited. They had a store in Arlington years ago but closed it because it wasn't working. I remember how good their stromboli was.
The new location looks to be a winner. They have finally started opening for lunch, which is what I had today. Mostly I would recommend you stick to their stromboli, which is excellent and distinctive. Some of the other things I have tried were only ok - e.g. the lasagna and their chopped salad.
Today I tried their Italian Stallion, a hoagie with shredded lettuce, tomato, onion, banana peppers and house dressing on top of heated italian cold cuts and melted cheese. Not the biggest sandwich ever, but a full fistful, and just outstanding flavor and crunch. Excellent. Your choice of sides - I had the Italian wedding soup, which was delicious. HIGHLY recommended.
