China D has been in its current location for over 20 years. It is invisible from the street - you have to know how to find it behind Lane Ave shopping center (western end in the back).

It was once an anchor tenant to a very successful food court, but changes in tenants have left it sort of stranded behind the scenes. It is testimony to China D's loyal customer base and consistent menu that people still seek them out.

China D is known for their Sunday brunch served buffet style. Not all of their food appeals to me so I like to order from their menu. Their hot and sour soup is really good, as are their egg rolls. My favorite dish is their General Tso's chicken, but my "kids" are gaga over their cashew chicken. I also like their Szechuan green beans, and their Singapore noodles. Their spicy food is actually spicy so be careful what you hope for.

China D is an Arlington institution, serving popular priced Chinese food from a disadvantaged location that still works for locals.
